‘Taxonomy of Material and Process (boxes)’ by John Brooks
Working within the parameters of a limited selection of materials, salvaged from the remains of previous entities of desire to create a series of objects, illustrates the possibilities of reinventing what already exists. Augmenting these materials beyond recognition through the process of hand weaving, belies their origins as discarded shells of human consumption, placing the object in a constant state of flux. As a result, the fickle nature of consumption lessens the strain on our resources.
